About the image used:

Permission Taken was an exhibition which included Archive Remix, a continuation of the work developed during Antonio Roberts' residency at the University of Birmingham. The video and print pieces are made of 3D scans of items from the archives of the University of Birmingham's Research and Cultural Collections together with heavily distorted and glitched logos of corporate brands.

When I came across it in my exploration of remixing, I was intrigued with all the vibrant colors, contrasts, and patterns and thought it would serve well as an image for my Remix Culture creation. Bonus, I learned a bit more about CC and those who are rethinking ideas surrounding ownership and creativity. This piece is licensed under Attribution-ShareAlike which means that I am free to copy, adapt, and redistribute with appropriate credit. I must also link the license, indicate if any changes were made (they were not except for adding the hot spot dots). Since I did build upon the material, I need to distribute under the same license as the original.
